Hey Crackers and Very Classy are a great pair to work with, going out together or on their own, whichever suits best at the time. A very enjoyable pair to look out for
Happy Horses – Happy days

Since HeyCrackers had such an unlucky run at Newcastle last time, we had plenty to think about, deciding on the best way forward to give him all the confidence he deserves and strength, to perform to his best next time out. As the results came back from his ‘Overground Scope’ up the gallops, a couple of weeks ago, it was clear to see areas in his throat that could be a hinderance to him while the pressure in on in the final stages of a race, when maximum respiratory stability is required. HeyCrackers was booked in for a visit to the Hospital and he had a couple of days away while the operation took place. HeyCrackers received the all clear with a successful operation taking place, with no concerns from the veterinary team involved. They said he was a pleasure to deal with, and a horse who has the best character, bless him. As it can be expected, it is difficult for them to eat straight after an operation on their throat, so as expected you can see the difference in weight on the scales, from when he left the yard, to when he returned home. HeyCrackers will have a few easy weeks, on the walker and out in the paddock to give him the time to heal as well on the inside, to the happy spirits he still shows us on the outside. He has already started to regain weight and he's showing no concerns as he enjoys his play time out in the paddock each day.

We are pleased with Very Classy ever since her first run, and we are looking forward to seeing her progress over the next few months towards autumn. There is a nice race at the local turf track Doncaster for one of their weekend, Saturday meetings, where we aim to go and bring home a pleasing result. She was a little slower than some from the stalls on her latest run, but that will naturally improve again next time out. The even galloping Doncaster track will be more like the all-weather tracks she has previously run at, and been placed at, over the longer distance of 1m2f. I’m confident we will see more potential from her.
